This is my go to website if I have any questions relating to nutrition. It is run by Dr Michael Greger, a physician (and author of How Not to Die) who promotes a plant based diet. The website features short videos on topics related to health and nutrition. All of the videos present the facts based on scientific research.
Forks Over Knives is the official website of the 2011 documentary by the same name. The website has practical advice on following a whole food plant based diet. There’s also lots of great recipes and plenty of personal testimonies from people who have changed their health and life through a plant based diet.
Dr McDougall’s Health and Medical Centre
This website is run by Dr John McDougall, a best selling author and doctor who runs a live-in plant based health centre in California. The website has lots of info about nutrition and improving your health with a plant based diet. It also has thousands of recipes and also a free
T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies
T Colin Campbell is the author of The China Study, as well as a number of other books. His website has lots of articles about plant based nutrition. The centre also offers a Plant-Based Nutrition Certification course offered through eCornell.
Jeff’s blog and articles provide practical advice and great information on the nutrition behind a plant based diet. His information on eating a diet low in calorie density is the best there is!
The Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine
This is Dr Neal Barnard’s non-profit organisation. It promotes a plant-based diet, has up to date nutrition info, and lots of whole food plant based recipes. You can also sign up for a free online 21-Day Vegan Kickstart program that gets delivered to your inbox each day, with recipes and a menu plan provided for each day.
